Safeway Moving & Storage

I normally never talk about bad service but I am compelled to do it now . I was completely appalled at the service and treatment from Safeway Moving Company. The salesman Tyier in Lexington, KY comes and meets
You and makes you believe they are going to move you in a 4 hour minimum period . I only had bedroom furniture to move, along with 2 other pieces of large furniture. They packed like turtles . In one box I found a light bulb, a Bible , and a box of Kleenex filled with tons of paper in a box large enough for a tricycle. The quote was 1200 and they ended up charging me over 1700 . For less than 5 miles and no stairs . They gave me a moving team of 2 people . One stayed on personal call or smoking most of the day or complained of having cancer , while the other told me he could help me in his off time .. just don't tell
The company . Then when I called the company and begged for help 3 times that day in tears , at 430 they decided to send 2 men to replace one and one of them also offered to help

Safeway is no more than a sleazy crappy company take your money show . Don't use them . Please . You will be sorry .

Norvell and crew were excellent. I have had professional movers many times in the past 41 years and this move was the best ever. They were more than careful with our possessions and we had 4700 sq ft overflowing with furniture and STUFF! They were polite and extremely efficient and professional. No scratches on the furniture or goofs on the walls or floors of my newly refinished older home or my brand new home 500 miles away. Norvell and his crew moved my daughter several months before us and she was so impressed that there was no chance of us choosing another moving company

We honestly don't have anything bad to say! Our family's experience with Safeway Moving was top notch! First let me say, we met with half a dozen moving companies when we were planning our move from Lancaster, KY to Sarasota, FL. We read so many reviews on all of the top interstate moving companies. Safeway = Mayflower. But what sold us is the confidence we got after meeting with Tyler from Safeway. We met with Tyler who surveyed our "inventory" and helped answer our hundreds of questions like a pro - a patient pro at that. We also dealt with Tiffany who was equally wonderful. Tyler was there every step of the way. We highly recommend trusting your move to Safeway! Simply top notch!!

I called Safeway to help me pack and move from Lexington to Charlotte, NC. The staff was courteous and on time. They did an excellent job packing my goods and worked quickly. They delivered my belongings on time. There were no "extra" unplanned charges. I would hire them again without reservations.
