Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii

I'm a fan of this place. It's fun, a bit different, the service is friendly, and the coffee was tasty! They offered samples of some drinks and they were delicious, although I probably wouldn't order them assuming they are very sweet. The parking garage makes this accessible and they have lots of outlets if you need a charge or desire to work here.

Since I love Kona coffee, I sipped by. First I thought it's weaker coffee. But actually I liked a lot in the end. Had malasada doughnut, too.

I popped in for a coffee on Sunday morning. After getting my iced coffee (with coffee ice cubes!) and adding sugar, I accidentally spilled the entire thing all over the condiment station! The staff could not have been nicer, helping clean up and making me a new drink.

Seating is limited inside and there is a parking garage with one hour parking for retail, including Big Ass coffee.

Ok, so I never make reviews because as a freshman in college I don't have much time and whenever I do, it's usually filled with things I need to get done! That being said, I NEED to make a review about this gem of a cafe! Lexington is FILLED with cafes and a lot of them are off campus, and usually not a franchise. That being said, as amazing as all of them are (the ones I've tried) Bad Ass Coffee, while being considered a "franchise" shines FAR above the rest in my opinion, the quality, service, and overall atmosphere is impeccable! For me, when I first came to UK, Willy T Starbucks was my home because it was close to my dorm, but it isn't good in my opinion, well in terms of consistency! (Idk what to expect and while it's usually good they have their off days) Bad Ass on the other hand is not only always consistent in quality but each time I've come, it somehow manages to outshine itself and has become the highlight of my day whenever I get a chance to stop by! Also, let's talk about Nick, I can't even begin to say enough amazing things about him! He knows be my name, assures to make me feel welcome every time I walk in the door, and is ALWAYS smiling even when it's pouring the rain outside and seems like the sun will never come out! Nick does his job 110% and really seems to love what he does! Also just a side note, he recommended I try a chocolate iced chai, and it sounded so weird I had to try it, oh my gosh it's absolutely amazing!!!! Try it!!! Ok, I've talked long enough! I'm in many writing classes in college so I'm used to going on and on. Anyways, I'll definitely be back! Many, many times!!!

Great coffee. Parking is under the building which is not fantastically marked. Great place and had a great latte and then took home some of the Kona blend for home. Like this place.

Saw this place while driving to work this morning, and coincidentally enough my cousin, who just got back into town, wanted to catch up here. Such a great idea it was! The staff was really nice and welcoming and the layout and decor of the café was very appealing. The tables are spread far enough apart from one another so you won't ever feel like you're on top of another group at another table. However, the tables are pretty small, so at most you'd be able to sit with 1-2 friends to still feel comfortable. In the background, they played music through their sound system that wasn't too loud so you could still have a conversation without needing to raise your voice.

I ended up ordering a medium strawberry mango smoothie. It was pretty okay! The smoothie wasn't as thick as I would have preferred, it tasted a little watered down by the time I drank half of it. Although I was assured that my smoothie was indeed made half of strawberries and half of mangoes, the mango flavor overpowered the strawberries greatly.

What's great about this location, is that there is a free indoor garage located on the left side of the shop, which is perfect considering there isn't any nearby street parking. The place does provide free wifi and I do look forward to stopping by another day for work and trying one of their bagels that folks have been raving about!

I went here twice before posting my review. They have something I have never seen at a coffee place!! It is like a soft serve machine for coffee Frappuccino's. It's the BEST! It's like a coffee infused frostee. You can get whatever latte flavors with it! All their breakfast sandwiches and lunch sandwiches are served on Kings Hawaiian Rolls!! Everything I've tried has been really tasty. They have a rewards program and mobile ordering coming soon. I think they have good prices and some flavors that aren't as common--I hope they keep the coconut and macadamia nut flavors all year! I was obsessed with Island Vintage coffee and this is the closest I can get on the mainland!

I tried to take more clear pix of the menu. They also have packaged goods like cookies, biscotti, protein bars, etc. I highly recommend trying a blended drink, even if it's not your everyday drink.

I had a great experience at this coffee shop. this is so much better than starbucks with better options and unique flavors. Kate my barista was great at helping me find the right drink! The vibes and decor are something you can't find anywhere else.

Stopped here for their grand opening today and my family couldn't have been more impressed! From the welcoming aloha staff to the quality and over all taste was a 10/10! We all have a different taste so we tried a couple different things. Bagels, iced lattes, blended latte, and smoothies!

Cute little spot on the corner of Virginia and limestone. Staff was friendly but slightly lazy? I tried ordering the 'Aloha sandwich' but they told me that they would have to "make it from scratch". I wasn't sure how that would affect them that much since they are a restaurant and most of their food should be from scratch anyways but I proceeded to get the turkey, bacon, cheese sandwich instead and it was pretty tasty. I got the bad ass chai and it was only okay. I really liked the ambiance in here though. I'd come back again to try more.
