Martine's Pastries

We gathered upstairs. I ordered the Croque Monsieur, but should have ordered the Madame with the egg on top as the Monsieur was rather dry. It was uncreatively slapped on the paper plate. A little laginappe would have been nice, some fruit perhaps. In retrospect, I should have just had a pastry.

Martine's Pastries is the cutest little bakery, coffee, and lunch spot! They have a small parking lot (5-6 cars), but there is street parking in the neighborhood it's located in. I sat by one of the big windows to work a little bit while enjoying an iced macchiato and breakfast sandwich. The gentleman who took my order made some recommendations as this was my first time visiting Martine's! He sold me on the caramel macchiato which is made with *homemade* caramel sauce and it was lovely! Food-wise, I had the egg & scone sandwich which was delicious! I chose the bacon and cheese scone with a scrambled egg and it hit the spot. Somehow sweet and savory and salty all at once.

I almost ordered something sweet, but decided I will definitely be back soon to try some of their bakery items!

This place was sooo cute! We were traveling through and I wanted a little area for breakfast. We got there about 11am. My fiancé got a salad and coffee , and I got a chocolate croissant, and a vanilla macaron. He liked his salad and it was very colorful as you can see. My croissant was VERY good and so was the macaron. So good that I went back up for a pistachio macaron, and then the next day before we left I got another croissant and vanilla macaron as well.
Service was quick and both workers were very nice.
Pricing was a little on the expensive side in my opinion, but they were good. 10/10 will be going again if I'm through the area

such a cute place !!! i adore Martines, the staff is absolutely lovely and always the sweetest. i appreciate how they are always willing to answer questions and give recommendations :) limited seating downstairs, but there is a larger upstairs with more open space seating. the food here for breakfast and lunch never disappoints, and i haven't tried anything on the menu i didn't like. their bakery section is just as good!

There's not much I can add to what has already been said in celebration of this fabulous local bakery. So, I'll just say this - please frequent this yummy gem of a spot so we never lose it. Coffee, lemon bars, cakes, cookies, lunch, whatever. Just go and but the goodies!

I have been enjoying the food here for about six years and want to move here, just so I can eat their goodies. Recently they prepared a birthday cake for my daughter, and I am disappointed since I didn't get to eat any (screw Covid) I will be buying a "just because" cake in the near future. My daughter said it was delicious. Not surprising to me. Love the lunch specials also. No complaints whatsoever. Very comfortable space to stay and eat, and service is always wonderful.

The local French bakery and cafe is a bit cramped, but does have an upstairs seating level for dining in. Their website promised waffle specials on Saturday, but I was a bit disappointed to find that there was only the basic waffle, as well as a couple of crepe options. The crepes I did get had a nice bit of candied orange in addition to some heavy cream, and delivered a subtle but satisfying flavor. A chai latte was likewise not punchy, but tasty.

I didn't get any cakes, but I did see an interesting caramel cup kind of a thing; there weren't a ton of vegan options, but this was one and it was fantastic. I've also had their pistachio cake ice cream flavor at Crank and Boom. Compared to that, the bakery here is likely to be an occasional stop more than a regular addiction.

Didn't get lunch items, but desserts were great. Love the pistachio cake. One of the best I have had. Customer service was top notch. Small downstairs, but more seating up stairs.

Only difficult thing is parking is often on the street as lot is really small.

Our friend, Terri, gifted us with a pistachio cake from Martine's Pastries. The cake was beautifully decorated and delicious. It was a nice way to enjoy a perfect visit with friends. We highly recommend the pistachio cake from Martine's Pastries. It is so good.

Loved, loved, loved everything about Martine's! Food, ambiance, and service were amazing... what a gem!

My group had Croque Madames and Monsieurs, a bacon and cheese croissant, and chocolate croissants, and every bite was perfection!

They had so many beautiful pastries, both savory and sweet; delicious-looking cakes and desserts; great lunch options... I would love to grace back to Lexington just to eat there again!

HIGHLY recommend!
